CitySprint Group is made up of over 900 colleagues in the UK, working together across many specialisms – from tech engineers and developers to customer care advisors, service centre managers and logistics specialists.


David Burtenshaw |
Chairman

David has a strong track record in the logistics sector holding senior board positions for over 35 years. Prior to his chairmanship of the CitySprint Group board, David was Chairman at EuroExpress and CEO of Lynx Express – he managed the sale of Lynx to UPS in 2005. David has also held positions at Federal Express and ANC. He has been instrumental in the successful growth of the Group.


Patrick Gallagher |
Group CEO

Patrick has over 30 years’ experience in the same day distribution industry in a career that includes managing a nationwide US same day distribution network. In 2014 he was named UK ‘EY Entrepreneur of the Year’ for the London and South region and M&A Awards ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ winner. He led the successful management buyout of CitySprint in 2010 and a subsequent secondary MBO in 2016 valuing the business at £175 million.


Gerard Keenan |
Group CFO

Gerard supported the company’s aggressive growth strategy by successfully refinancing CitySprint on four separate occasions (2015, 2011, 2007 and 2005) and assisted in two management buyouts in 2016 and 2010. He has also led the successful acquisition and integration of 33 businesses into CitySprint Group. He was awarded ‘Private Equity-Backed FD of the Year’ in 2015.


Paddy Sellers |
Non-Executive Director

Until recently, Paddy was deputy CEO of Private Equity Company, LDC, responsible for an investment portfolio worth £2.7 billion. Paddy’s job has involved sitting as a non-executive director on more than 30 boards. During Paddy’s career at LDC, which spanned 29 years, the company grew to be one of the leading players in the UK and combined its investment activities across the country with a substantial commitment to community projects through charitable activities.


Jessica Hardy |
Non-Executive Director

Jessica joined Dunedin LLP in 2014 and is part of Dunedin’s investment team which sources and transacts deals across the UK. She was involved in the buyouts of the global payments processor GPS and Kingsbridge, the specialist insurance intermediary. She currently represents Dunedin on the CitySprint Board.

Prior to joining Dunedin, Jessica was a strategy consultant for Accenture, targeting primarily the oil and gas and UK utilities industries. She has a strong foundation in economic principles through an economics honors degree from Warwick University.


Andy Lyndon |
Non-Executive Director

Andy has experience of investing in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, specialist engineering and financial services. Since joining LDC in 2001, his investments and exits have included CitySprint, Aqualisa, The NEC Group, Eley Group, Kee Safety, Node4, Electrium, Eveden, Cable Management Group, Aqualux and Omega Red. Andy was named ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ at both 2017 and 2015 Insider Midlands Dealmakers Awards.


Santosh Sahu |
CEO, On the dot

Santosh is responsible for leading the development of the Group’s next
generation final mile delivery technology, and has been instrumental in the design and implementation of On the dot’s defined timeslot delivery platform. Prior to this, Santosh worked at Capgemini and held consulting positions at John Lewis, Sainsbury’s and Tesco to develop sustainable multi-million pound supply chain strategies. He has an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK.

He is responsible for delivering the financial budget across all departments, ensuring the customer remains a key focus. Prior to CitySprint, Paul supported TNT & UKMail with their logistics growth plans.


Darren Taylor |
COO, On the dot

Darren is responsible for the operationalisation of new technology platforms and leading On the dot’s business transformation. He is focused on driving innovation and growth of the Group’s store-to-consumer delivery proposition in the retail, pharmacy and food & beverage sectors. Darren has over 21 years of industry experience and has held a number of senior positions within the Group.


Justin Moore |
CSO, CitySprint

Justin is responsible for all areas of new business and business development. He is the driving force behind improved sales revenues and has built a multi-talented team of professionals responsible for achieving growth in a rapidly evolving industry. Justin is committed to developing smart, sustainable and scalable solutions that meet the delivery needs of CitySprint’s customers.


Sally-Anne Canning |
Group Marketing Director, CitySprint Group

Sally-Anne leads the brand strategy, PR and marketing functions of the Group. She is responsible for the delivery of
commercially focused strategic marketing;
customer, market and competitor insight; and all communications. She spearheaded the company rebrand, the launch of the On the dot brand and the development of the Pharmacy to home product. Sally-Anne has over 15 years’ marketing management experience.


Matt Lister |
Finance Director, CitySprint

Matt has significant financial and operational experience, overseeing revenue growth for the Group from £46 million to £172 million over the past 11 years. He supported the management buyout of CitySprint in 2016 and 2010 and has led the financial due diligence on many of the Group’s acquisitions. He is responsible for the management of the Group’s day-to-day financial and reporting activities.

Craig Eddy |
Director of Operations

Craig has recently joined the CitySprint family from Royal Mail Group, where he worked through the corporate ladder from lower level management to Senior Manager positions over a 19 year career. He brings a wealth of experience in change management, process improvement and leading large teams through his inspirational leadership style. Craig is responsible for the day to day running of CitySprint operations and with creating and deploying the transformation strategy within operations.


Rosie Bailey |
Director of Customer Management

Rosie is responsible for CitySprint’s SME customer engagement strategy, focusing on retention and growth, and leading the Customer Experience Improvement programme. With over 18 years’ logistics experience, Rosie led the strategic account management programme for the industrial and 3PL sectors at City Link before joining CitySprint in 2013. With many recognisable achievements already, such as starting the Customer Care team in 2015 and winning Silver for the Most Improved Complaint Handling at the 2017 UKCHA Awards, Rosie also manages commercial targeting and the management of CitySprint’s Platinum customer base.


Simon Parsons |
Director of IT

Simon has been responsible for significant improvements in service resilience and reliability over his 8 years with CitySprint, and as a result facilitating business growth. Over a 30 year career in the IT industry, he has held positions from grass roots support to senior management positions. He has championed the successful introduction of ISO27001 across the business and accreditation to this important security standard. Simon is committed to the security of CitySprint’s IT systems and our clients’ data.

Ben Nowlan |
CRO, On the dot

Ben is responsible for the commercial success of On the dot; bringing the sales, marketing and product together to match market need and maximise company growth. Prior to On the dot, Ben has held senior roles in multi-national companies such as Groupon and Corporate Executive Board (CEB) as well as founding a series of technology businesses. Most recently Ben was the founder and CEO of Sherpa, a pioneer in last mile technology and delivery services.


Taher Kaliq |
CTO, On the dot

Taher has extensive experience helping organisations scale and deliver mission critical applications, while maintaining a high standard of quality and predictability. Having developed and lead engineering teams at both OPP and Photobox, he has managed budgets of approx. £8m, all while focusing on building end-to-end cross-functional squads. Toher is responsible for technical vision, strategy and implementation to enable the growth of On the dot, and to continue to deliver value to its customers.


Mike Timlett |
Professional Services Director, On the dot

Mike is responsible for the continuous strategic development of IT systems which supports the revenue growth from £22m to £120m for the wider CitySprint Group. Mike has been with On the dot since its inception and has used his extensive knowledge of the courier industry to help CitySprint migrate from legacy platforms to the new last mile delivery platforms being engineered in On the dot. Mike heads the Professional Services Delivery and the Business Intelligence teams that manage CitySprint Group IT strategic planning, quality assurance, business intelligence and budgetary management.


Ron Harris |
Advisor

Ron has over 35 years of private equity and executive level operational experience.  Ron is a Managing Director of Harris Preston & Partners, LLC, a private equity firm focused on co-investment opportunities alongside private equity partners.  Prior to Harris Preston & Partners, Mr. Harris founded Southwest Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on corporate buyouts and select venture financings.  Mr. Harris also served on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas-San Antonio Branch, where he chaired the Board for three of his six-year term. Mr. Harris, a successful serial entrepreneur, led the effort to create, build and take public Pervasive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: PVSW), where he served as Chairman, President & CEO.

 


Duane Jackson |
Advisor

Duane Jackson is a technology entrepreneur. He founded KashFlow Accounting Software, one of the first software-as-a-service businesses in the UK, in 2005. He grew it to 40 staff and 20,000 customers without taking any significant external funding and eventually exited in 2013, selling to IRIS Software Group for £20m. He’s since set up supdate.com, a tool for businesses to track and report their progress to external shareholders. He’s also a Patron of The Prince’s Trust, the charity that helped him start in business and is passionate about promoting entrepreneurship.


Greg Kidd |
Advisor

Greg is an advisor and investor via hardyaka.com for numerous startups in the exchange space including Shift, Ripple and 3taps, and previously Square and Twitter. Previously, he was a director at Promontory Financial, a senior analyst for payments at The Board of Governor of the Federal Reserve and a senior associate at Booz Allen. He founded and took Dispatch Management Services (DMS) Corp public on the NASDAQ. He has also worked as an instructor and leader for Outward Bound and the National Outdoor Leadership School.
